We are actively seeking an intermediate-level environmental professional to participate in this growing area of practice. The position is based in Meridian’s Calgary office, although strong candidates wishing to work from other locations may be considered. The position requires a university degree in a related discipline (environmental science, biology, chemistry, engineering, hydrogeology etc.) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental assessments and/or contaminated site management, which should include at least 2 years of experience in conducting human health and/or ecological risk assessments. Preference will be given to candidates with a graduate degree and training or experience in fate and transport modelling, exposure assessment or toxicology. Site Assessment and Remediation Specialist Meridian Environmental Consulting Ltd. is currently looking for an intermediate to senior level site assessment and remediation specialist to join our Calgary office. The successful applicant would ideally possess a degree in environmental engineering, geological sciences or a related discipline (e.g. agrology, biology, chemistry, etc.), and 5 to 10 years of consulting or industry experience. We are seeking individuals who are motivated, team players with strong organizational skills and a proven track record in the field. An interest in project management and familiarity with Alberta, British Columbia or Saskatchewan environmental regulations and contaminated site issues would be considered an asset. Environmental Technologist Meridian Environmental Consulting Ltd. is looking for an experienced Environmental Technologist to join our Calgary office. The ideal applicant would possess a degree or diploma in environmental or geological sciences and 2 or more years of consulting or industry experience. The position is largely field-based and would primarily involve activities related to contaminated site assessment and remediation. A valid drivers license, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work independently, often at remote sites, are considered key requirements for success in this position.
